About Food Science and Nutrition with Food Safety

A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Food Science and Nutrition with Food Safety degree program mainly focuses on the interface between Human Nutrition and Food Science as well as on the integration of the two disciplines. This program concentrates on the aspects of nutrition, the techniques of preservation and its importance to health.

It gives main emphasis on food, nutrition, diet, food preservation, product development, food quality analysis, food safety and Quality. Since inception, the department offers programmes with the focus to produce quality human resources with relevant knowledge, skills and values to bring holistic health in the community, national as a whole.

Duration:
3 years full time undergraduate course divided into 6 semesters.

Eligibility:
A Pass in +2 with Physics/Biology/Botany & Zoology/Computer Science with Chemistry (General)
For Vocation: Vocational papers: Home Science/Nutrition/Dietetics/Child Development/Nursing
